Today was Tuesday – 10/04/2011. Songs that most closely match my mood = still both the new “Chickenfoot III” and “Mayday Parade” albums. Great music on both albums – check them out!
Today was another glorious work from home day. I loved it! Oh man what I wouldn’t do if I could work from home three or more days a week. Doing my job in a T-shirt and pajama shorts makes it the perfect job. When I have to strap on a Polo and jeans, fix my hair, wait for shuttles and trains, and sit under those glaringly bright florescents – it’s less than awesome. It’s still a great job, as I have indicated repeatedly, but it would be so much better if I had to go into the office less often. LOL here I am bitching about having to go into the office three days a week. I supposed I’m a little bit spoiled, but I of course recognize how blessed I am. I’m just being honest. Working from home allows me to focus better on my work, and less on how I’m not comfortable in heavy clothes and bright lights. Not to mention that the facilities team at the CNN Center can’t manage to keep our floor at a steady, comfortable temperature on a consistent basis. It’s more often or not too hot or too cold there. Oh please let us work from home 3 or 4 or 5 days a week! LOL – man that would be so sweet!
Anyway, it was a pretty good day. I did have a lot to do tonight, though. I got assigned 14 tickets to work, which is a little more than double than normal. Not including all the tickets I have to generate just by working the phone. Lots of stuff to do. It’s all good. It means I’m needed. If you’re not valuable in your job, you won’t be employed for long. I do a lot of work, and I do it well.
I IMd with Mom and Danielle tonight, and texted a bit with Elisha. I had a good conversation again with Elisha. She’s a sweetheart. I played KOTOR a lot tonight as well, and also watched some more DVR stuff. The new Showtime series “Homeland” is really good – I enjoyed it a lot. It was a good night all around.
Well that’s about all that went down today. One thing is bothering me right now, though. I haven’t been working out on a regular basis since I went on vacation. I’ve either been sick, or someone has been in town, or something else has been going on. I’m starting to feel it again and I need to get back into the groove I was in during May. I want to get down to around 220 or so. Still have about 35 pounds to go.
There’s so much I need to do: call my Doctor and schedule a physical (I haven’t had one since I was a teenager, and I’m 42 now – it’s time to take better care of my health); make Elisha’s video about ME2 and KOTOR; get caught up on my church message watching; hire a maid service to come in and clean my place (hopefully twice a month); try to get financing squared away for my teeth; get back to exercising; start using my checkbook app so I can better keep track of my finances; and that’s about all I can think of right now. That’s a lot of stuff to get done. Hopefully I’ll get that all taken care of shortly….
Until next time – when I will share it all with you….After The Fact!
